- Proposal #46
- Proposed by TheCasey
- Accepted by a vote of 4-1. Added as Rule 25.
- New squares can be built anywhere
on the board for the cost of $1000 dd per square. The player who built
the new land is not the owner; the land must be purchased just as any
other unowned, ownable square. After paying for the creation of a new
square, the player must designate where they want they square to be built.
Ie. Before the first square, or between the 3rd and 4th square etc. These
new "artificially created" squares are not numbered, but instead
will be labeled as A, B, C, etc. This is to prevent confusion with pre-existing
"natural" squares.
- Comments: There's a few problems here. These squares currently can not
be bought, because there's no way of determining their price or rent.
So, you guys will have to figure that one out. =)
- Proposal #47
- Proposed by gator
- Rejected by a vote of 0-5.
- I propose that the way players are
moved reverse direction. The Board and all the numbers remain where they
are but the players move in the opposite direction. This takes place when
The_T does the rolls. Because of this the moving forward now means moving
backward and vice versa. After passing square number 1 players begin at
the last square and follow the board in a backward manner. If any new
squares are added that are not given locations they still become part
of the board after the highest number listed.
- Comments: I guess most people just thought there wasn't any good reason
for this. And they'd be right.
- Proposal #48
- Proposed by gator
- Rejected by a vote of 1-4.
- I propose that we add another square
called bankrupt. This square will be randomly located (square cannot be
located in a space occupied by a player during the relocation)and it will
move locations once a week on each Monday when proposals are posted and
after the Monday night dice roll. If you land on bankrupt you lose all
you money and all your property. Therefore you lose and are out of the
game. If this happens all of the property you have returns to blank numbered
squares and all of your money goes into the nomic bank. And you lose the
game. The only way to return is to ask The_T if you can start over from
scratch.
- Comments: I was confused by some of the wording on this one, and in
addition it just seemed like a little too random and mean-spirited. Having
something that tosses you out of the game and having no control over it?
I don't think it'd be too fair.
