- Proposal #40
- Proposed by TheCasey
- Accepted by a vote of 3-1. Added as Rule 18.3.
- Only one double-double card may be
used per turn.
- Comments: Casey said he thought he could win the game by making a proposal
stating "I prose I win the game", and then buying a ton of and
using Double Double cards to make sure it passes. While this could work,
he opted not to and instead make sure it doesn't happen. Good man.
- Proposal #41
- Proposed by TheCasey
- Rejected by a vote of 1-3.
- no two players can be on the same
square at the same time except for jail and nomic bank. If two or more
players land on the same square, one or more players (so that only one
player remains on the square) will be randomly pushed one square left
or right (direction is also randomly determined) of that current square.
If the square a player is pushed onto is occupied (exept for the exceptional
squares), the same event will keep occuring until that player ends up
on an unoccupied or exceptional square. In the event that there is no
square to the left or the right of the current square, the player will
be moved to the start or the end of the board accordingly. In this case,
only the final square that the player is pushed onto/lands on is counted
in terms of rent, purchasing land, passing the first square, etc.
- Comments: I still think the usage of "left" and "right"
is unclear. If a place is one of the sides of the board, they would normally
move up or down, or to Square #1 if at the end of the board, so... it's
too messy.
- Proposal #42
- Proposed by TheCasey
- Rejected by a vote of 2-2.
- If a player owns all ownable squares,
they win the game.
- Comments: Possibly too easy?
- Proposal #43
- Proposed by AcousticRoss
- Accepted by a vote of 4-0. Added as Rule 23.
- I propose a new square and an item
to go with it. This square (#25) will be called the Death Square. (Don't
worry, it's not as bad as it sounds.) The Death Square cannot be purchased
or owned by any player. A player landing on the Death Square will receive
a Death Card. At any time after receiving a Death Card, the player can
use it to "kill" the square they currently occupy on the board.
The "dead" square loses its name and gender identity. Existing
structures on the square purchased by the previous owner will be returned
to the owner following the existing "destroying buildings" rule
and rates (see game rule #20, part 3). The player using a Death Card to
kill an existing square may NOT purchase that square in the same round
in which it was "killed."
- Comments: One problem: It doesn't say the square becomes unowned. So.
Um. Also, what happens if one of the special squares gets killed? Based
on the rules it would still serve it's purpose when people land on it,
but it would merely lose it's name.
- Proposal #44
- Proposed by AcousticRoss
- Accepted by a vote of 4-0. Added as Rule 24.
- I propose that one of the two Money
Making Squares be changed into a Money Taking Square. Similar to the Money
Making Square, landing on this square would involve 10% of the rent paid
out in that turn: Whenever a player lands on this square, they will pay
to the Nomic Bank 10% of the total rent paid out during the turn.
- Comments: The question is, should this subtract from the rent the other
players are paying? I'll just say no for now since there's nothing that
clearly states it. Also, it wasn't specified that the space is unownable,
so... that might be weird.
- Proposal #45
- Proposed by gator
- Accepted by a vote of 3-1. Modified Rule 9.1.
- I propose that the we add another
roll of the dice on Tuesday's. Although the proposals will remain on the
same days the players will move around the board quicker.
- Comments: Geez, as if I don't do enough work as it is. =P
